FAQs
How will these Edwardian spindles arrive?
When you purchase white primed wood stair parts from Jackson Woodturners, like these Edwardian spindles, they will arrive with the knotting solution, primer, and undercoat already applied. This will save you a significant amount of time, especially if you’re renovating your entire staircase, and allow you to jump straight in with your chosen colour coat.
Should I paint my white primed Edwardian spindles white?
Our spindles are ready for a topcoat of your choice of paint, whether that’s a neutral or bright colour. If you’d like to go for a bright white finish, we recommend adding a coat of paint, as the colour of the primer can vary between products.
Why should I choose these white primed Edwardian spindles?
White primed stair parts, including spindles like these, are extremely popular for several reasons:
-
Affordable: White primed stair parts offer a more affordable price, whilst remaining visually attractive.
-
Design Options: White primed spindles and other stair parts are available in a range of styles. For example, Georgian and Edwardian styles are more traditional and familiar, while stop chamfered or plain stick spindles offer a cleaner and more contemporary look.
-
Cohesion: White primed stair parts have a timeless and neat finish that easily complements almost any interior design preferences throughout the rest of your home.
How many white primed Edwardian spindles will I need?
The number of spindles you’ll need will depend on the measurements and layout of your staircase. The gap between each spindle can be no larger than 99mm, measured from the thinnest part of the design, to keep pets and children in the home safe. Otherwise, the spacing between your spindles is up to you and your desired appearance.
